Before Endodontic Instructions

Pre-Treatment Instructions at North Pacific Endodontics

Thank you for choosing North Pacific Endodontics for your treatment. To ensure a seamless experience, please follow our pre-treatment guide. Your comfort and well-being are our top priorities.

Pre-Treatment Instructions at North Pacific Endodontics

For a smooth experience, please continue taking your regularly prescribed medications for blood pressure, thyroid issues, and any other medical conditions unless instructed otherwise by our team.

If you have questions or concerns about specific medications, feel free to contact our office before your appointment or discuss them during your consultation.

If your healthcare provider has recommended antibiotic premedication (e.g., for mitral valve prolapse, heart murmur, rheumatic heart disease, or prosthesis), ensure you’re on the correct antibiotic on the day of your treatment.
To minimize inflammation, consider taking ibuprofen (Advil) or acetaminophen (Tylenol) before your appointment if suitable for you. We suggest 3 tablets of Advil or 2 tablets of Tylenol. If you don’t have these medications at home, we’ll provide them in our office before your treatment to enhance your comfort.

Please note that alcohol intake is not advised while taking these medications. Your well-being is our priority, and we’re here to address any concerns you may have.

Food and Water

It's advised to have a satisfying breakfast or lunch before your appointment at North Pacific Endodontics. Please continue to stay well-hydrated by drinking your usual liquids. Your comfort is important to us, and we want to ensure you have the best experience possible.

Transportation

Curious about transportation after your appointment? At North Pacific Endodontics, our procedures involve local anesthesia, and most patients typically don't encounter issues with driving or returning to work post-treatment. Although you may experience numbness for a few hours after the procedure, it won't affect your ability to drive. Your convenience and ease of experience are our priorities.
